Fibromyalgia is an arthritis related disease that is tough to understand and diagnose. It is a set of symptoms that you have to keep tracking to know if you have the disease. It causes you to ache all over and result in feeling fatigued all the time, even as you wake up.

Most of the time your muscles feel pulled and you may have sore points in the body that’s painful to touch. It leads to disturbed sleep and often mood swings. Stress may trigger fibromyalgia symptoms. Minimizing stress can improve your quality of life.
Some proven stress busters are yoga, exercise, sleep, and meditation. Breathing deeply and exhaling slowly can also help. Or keep in mind activities that you enjoy or that make you feel better. Women are most likely to get this. Here are few symptoms to keep a watch on:
1. Abdominal pain
2. Anxiety and depression
3. Chronic headaches
4. Difficulty maintaining sleep or light sleep
5. Dryness in mouth, nose, and eyes
6. Fatigue upon arising
7. Hypersensitivity to cold and/or heat
8. Inability to concentrate
9. Irritable bowel syndrome
10. Numbness or tingling in the fingers and feet
11. Painful menstrual cramps
12. Stiffness of the body

    • Find a Doctor who has researched & believes in Fibromyalgia & get diagnosed property & treatment. In most case fibromyalgia is brought on by some sorta truma, in which cases you will need to do several things, listen to your doctor & take your meds as prescribed, you may need therapy & even or psychiatrist if brought on by ( physical, mental or emotional)abuse. My doctor made me understand how I got fibromyalgia by explaining from what told her about being abused as a child plus other trumas I dealt with through out the years & never dealt with or received help with coping with them so now I need to see a psychiatrist to get me to learn how to let go of those bad memories & for me learn how to forgive the ones that has never ask for forgiveness & has never showed any remorse for what they have done, which has effected my entire life. So, be willing to deal with somethings you may not be will to deal with but if you want to get some relief from the pain you will need to dredge up some of your painful passed so that the meds can work & do their job in easing the pain from the fibromyalgia! Good luck & air hugs!

  1. I got diagnosed about 3 years ago. What really drove me to the deep end was my doctor at that time accusing me of being a drug addict. When in reality he was the one pushing all those narcotics into my system every time I was hospitalized, which was very often. On one of very bad days he refused to see me saying that if I was in that much pain to go to the ER. Luckily my mom’s doctor was a block away so she took me there instead. As soon as she saw me she automatically knew what was wrong and ordered a new set of tests. Her thoughts were confirmed but, sadly the previously doctor messed up my veins so now if I’m hospitalized I get my IVs in my jugular or a central line. Sadly the medication for fibro caused very bad side affects and had to stop since I almost became suicidal. So now I have to live with constant pain, and my ex got custody of my sons.So that didn’t help my depression but, I’m proud to say that I’m taking it day by day. It’s a struggle no denying that but, life goes on and I continue to strive forward for my boys.
