Ia??ll be honest, when I used to hear people say a??you have to love your body right now before youa??ll be able to lose weight and get the body you want!a??, it used to drive me crazy.
Simply because I found it really hard to love those rolls of flab around my waist when I sat down, or that feeling of my thighs rubbing together when I walked.
And I found it darn near impossible to look at myself in the mirror and be happy with what I saw, let alone love it.
Yep I really struggled with this, and I thought, man if I have to love how I look right now before I can lose weight, then Ia??m done for.
But then I read an amazing book calledA?Eating Less: Say Goodbye to Overeating viagra A?by Gillian Riley and I realised that I was looking at it all wrong.
You see, loving yourself isna??t just about sending gooey, loving vibes into the mirror. It isna??t about your reaction to how you look at all.
Ita??s about who you are.
Ita??s about your self esteem.
I suddenly understood that being able to love myself right now didna??t mean that I had to love how I looked. It meant I had to love me as a person.
And to do that, all I had to do was be true to myself. And make choices that would increase my self esteem instead of decrease it.
When I made the choice to eat keto, I was choosing myself and my life.
My health and my well-being.
And despite the fact that on day one, I still looked exactly the same in the mirror physically, I felt completely different as a person.
I was now a women who was taking steps to lose weight and regain health.
I was now someone who was being true to herself.
I was now someone who valued my self.
And so I saw myself differently in the mirror.
And for the first time in a long, long while I was able to love the woman that looked back at me.
